Angel Orensanz Day in New York

April 10 will mark the second "Angel Orensanz Day" in New York in celebration of his artistic achievements and his contributions to the cultural life and the community values of Lower Manhattan and the entire city. The designation of April 10 as Angel Orensanz Day took in April 10 of 2002 when the Speaker Gifford Miller, accompanied by the council members Margarita Lopez and Allan Gerson and in front of the entire Council read the proclamation for a large representation of New Yorkers.

To mark the occasion, a cocktail will be served on April 9 at 8 PM in the main space of the Foundation, at 172 Norfolk St. The event will serve as well as a planning meeting for a gala fundraising event and establishment of the "Friends of the Angel Orensanz Foundation" association, that will take place this May 28.
